Description
A deliciously simple recipe for orange chicken using just three main ingredients.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 cup orange marmalade
- ¾ cup barbecue sauce
Instructions
- Start by cutting your chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces. Heat a bit of oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken and cook until golden brown and fully cooked through, about 5–7 minutes. Make sure to stir occasionally for even browning.
- While the chicken cooks, whisk together the orange marmalade and barbecue sauce in a bowl. The mixture should be thick, shiny, and beautifully aromatic with a citrusy tang.
- Once the chicken is cooked, reduce the heat to low. Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken and stir well to coat each piece evenly. Let it simmer for 3–5 minutes so the sauce thickens and clings to the chicken.
- Serve your 3 Ingredient Orange Chicken hot over fluffy white rice, steamed jasmine rice, or even alongside stir-fried veggies. Sprinkle sesame seeds or sliced green onions on top if you’d like to get fancy.
Notes
- This dish pairs well with rice or vegetables.
- For added flavor, consider marinating the chicken in the sauce for a few hours before cooking.
