Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream softened butter and granulated sugar until fluffy.
- Beat in egg and vanilla extract.
- Gradually mix in the dry ingredients.
- Chill dough for 30 minutes.
- Cook diced apples with brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon juice, and cornstarch over medium heat until tender; drizzle over cooled cookies.
Notes
- For a thicker glaze, reduce the amount of milk.
- Chilling the dough helps to keep the cookies from spreading too much.
