Ingredients

- 1 (9 inch) pastry shell, unbaked or frozen
- 2 1/2 cups roughly chopped pecans
- 3 large eggs, at room temperature
- 1 cup light or dark corn syrup
- 3/4 cup light or dark brown sugar, packed
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted and cooled
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare the pastry shell in a pie dish.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together brown sugar, corn syrup, and salt.
- Add melted butter, vanilla extract, and eggs. Mix until smooth.
- Fold in chopped pecans.
- Pour filling into prepared pastry shell.
- Bake for 55 minutes or until set and golden.
- Allow to cool before serving.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use dark corn syrup.
- Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for added indulgence.
