Description

A delicious and quick stir-fry featuring beef and lo mein noodles.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 8 ounces lo mein noodles
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, minced
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 cup carrots, julienned
  • 1 cup bell peppers, thinly sliced
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook lo mein noodles according to package instructions, drain, and set aside.
  2. In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook ground beef until browned, then drain excess fat.
  3. Add minced garlic and ginger, cooking for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Toss in sliced carrots and bell peppers, sautéing until slightly tender.
  5. Whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, and brown sugar (plus cornstarch slurry if using).
  6. Add cooked noodles and sauce to skillet, tossing until everything is coated and heated through.
  7. Top with chopped green onions and a drizzle of sesame oil before serving.

Notes

  • You can substitute ground beef with chicken or tofu for a different protein option.
