Description

This Orange Garlic Chicken recipe features tender chicken breasts glazed with a sweet and tangy orange sauce. Perfect for a quick weeknight dinner!


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Spray a baking dish with nonstick cooking spray. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper and place them in the dish.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together orange juice, soy sauce, brown sugar, ketchup, minced garlic, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes until well combined.
  4. Pour half of the sauce over the chicken in the baking dish. Bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  5. Remove the chicken from the oven and pour remaining sauce into a saucepan on medium heat to simmer until thickened (about 5 minutes).
  6. Slice the baked chicken and drizzle with thickened sauce. Garnish with chopped green onions before serving over rice or noodles.
