Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (browned)
- 1/2 cup pecans (toasted and chopped)
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Brown the Butter: In a saucepan over medium heat, melt unsalted butter while stirring until it turns golden brown (about 5 minutes). Let cool slightly.
- Combine Dry Ingredients: In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar until fluffy.
- Add Pecans: Gently fold in toasted pecans.
- Mix Wet Ingredients: In another bowl, combine heavy cream and vanilla extract with browned butter.
- Combine Mixtures: Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and fold gently until just combined.
- Shape and Bake: Turn out dough onto a floured surface, pat into a circle about 1 inch thick, cut into wedges or rounds. Bake at 400°F for 15-20 minutes until golden.
Notes
- These biscuits are best served warm.
- Feel free to substitute walnuts for pecans if desired.
