Instructions
- Heat sesame oil in a pot over medium heat.
- Add sliced onions and sauté until caramelized and golden brown (15-20 minutes).
- Pour in the chicken or vegetable broth, soy sauce, and mirin if using.
- Bring to a gentle simmer and cook for another 10 minutes.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
