Description

This delicious balsamic glazed salmon is easy to prepare and packed with flavor, perfect for a quick weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 salmon fillets (6 ounces each)
  • 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). This high temperature ensures that the salmon cooks evenly and achieves a lovely glaze.
  2. In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine balsamic vinegar, honey, soy sauce, and minced garlic. Stir occasionally, allowing it to simmer for about 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
  3. Place the salmon fillets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Season both sides with salt and pepper to enhance the flavor.
  4. Drizzle olive oil over the salmon fillets. Using a brush or spoon, coat the tops generously with the balsamic glaze, reserving some for later.
  5. Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
  6. In the last minute of baking, brush the salmon with the remaining glaze for an extra layer of flavor.
  7. Remove the salmon from the oven and allow it to rest for a minute. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley for a pop of color.
  8. Plate the salmon and drizzle any leftover glaze from the baking sheet over the top before serving.

Notes

  • This dish pairs well with steamed vegetables or rice.
  • Do not overcook the salmon to keep it flaky and moist.
