Description
This delicious balsamic glazed salmon is easy to prepare and packed with flavor, perfect for a quick weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 salmon fillets (6 ounces each)
- 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). This high temperature ensures that the salmon cooks evenly and achieves a lovely glaze.
- In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine balsamic vinegar, honey, soy sauce, and minced garlic. Stir occasionally, allowing it to simmer for about 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Place the salmon fillets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Season both sides with salt and pepper to enhance the flavor.
- Drizzle olive oil over the salmon fillets. Using a brush or spoon, coat the tops generously with the balsamic glaze, reserving some for later.
- Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
- In the last minute of baking, brush the salmon with the remaining glaze for an extra layer of flavor.
- Remove the salmon from the oven and allow it to rest for a minute. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley for a pop of color.
- Plate the salmon and drizzle any leftover glaze from the baking sheet over the top before serving.
Notes
- This dish pairs well with steamed vegetables or rice.
- Do not overcook the salmon to keep it flaky and moist.
