Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz Pasta of your choice (such as penne, spaghetti, or fettuccine)
  • 1 cup Pesto sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese, grated (plus extra for serving)
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add in your pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually around 8-10 minutes.
  2. If using store-bought pesto, pour it into a bowl. For homemade pesto, blend fresh basil, garlic, pine nuts, and Parmesan cheese in a food processor, then add olive oil while blending until smooth.
  3. Drain your pasta and return it to the pot. Add in the pesto sauce, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Toss until the pasta is evenly coated.
  4. Plate your Pesto Pasta and sprinkle with extra Parmesan cheese. Optionally, add a dash of pepper.

Notes

  • This recipe is versatile; you can use any pasta shape you prefer.
  • For a creamier texture, consider adding a splash of heavy cream to the pesto sauce.
