Description

This easy strawberry cake is made with strawberry pie filling and a cake mix for a delicious dessert.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups strawberry pie filling
  • 13 oz white cake mix (can also use yellow cake mix)
  • ¾ cup cold salted butter (sliced into thin squares)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Spray a 10 x 7 inch baking dish with non-stick cooking spray and set aside.
  2. Pour the strawberry pie filling into the base of the baking dish.
  3. Sprinkle the vanilla cake mix evenly over the strawberry pie filling. Top with the sliced butter arranged in a single layer.
  4. Bake the cake for 40-45 minutes, or until lightly golden and the strawberry filling is bubbling.
  5. Allow to sit for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For best results, make sure the butter is cold and sliced thinly.
  • This cake can be served warm or at room temperature.
